This past weekend my wife and I went to see ‘The Conjuring‘ down town. The film was the best scary movie either of us had seen since the first Paranormal Activity film.
My wife has always like scary movies. Since we moved to Juneau she has managed to slowly get me into them. Not an easy task when you think about it. I recall seeing the movie Aliens when I was rather young. 10 or maybe 12 years of age. That movie scared me so much that that I did not sleep right for a month. No scary movie since has had that dramatic of an effect on me. And I’ve tried to find one. If you think about it, this might be a good reason to expose kids to a super scary movie at a young age. Then they are not scared of them when they are old. However, I am basing that theory on a test case of one. Myself.
The next closest film that scared me after Aliens was The Ring. I wrote about it a while back.
After the ring the next one that scared me to death would be Paranormal Activity. The Conjuring ranks right up there.
