From the pictures I took of my Dungeons & Dragons game last week, I got a pretty good shot from behind the Dungeon Master Screen. I thought I would explain a little about what I have going on here.
- The Dungeons & Dragons 4.0 Screen
- Bottle caps I use to indicate if a player is prone or bloodied for example
- Funky looking pencil sharpener
- Dice
- A Full pencil box.
- Monster Tokens from the Dungeons & Dragons Starter Set. Helps represent monster locations on the battlemat
- Miniatures used for represent good and bad guys.
- Wet erase markers for the battlemat
- legal pad used as scratch paper for notes and initiative order.
- Gridded notebook containing Maps and notes of a particular adventure.
- A box containing index cards. On the cards will be written items in a particular store or even in hidden treasures.

nice, pretty solid.
do you have a problem with the height of the DM screen? i stopped using mine because i really only needed on half the size. Standard sizes block my map view i find
Mike,
Thanks for the comment.
I also found the DM screen to block my view. I resolved this by sitting on a stool rather then a chair. I now sit up higher then everyone else and it allows me to see over the screen on to the battlemat.
So I now have some lead figurines and some dice! I even have a 30 sided die. Craaaazy. Want some stuff? Let me know!
Emily, Yes I want stuff! figurines, dice. As long as you don’t need them.
This week I couldn’t find my screen for some reason so I did without. The world continued on as if nothing was wrong.
#2 is brilliant! Stealing that idea for prone in 5e. Thanks. 🙂
